Here is the finished product!
Here is a breakdown of Slowpoke in a walk cycle:

Now the question arises. If we did another one, which Pokémon would we do? Not that we will. Leave suggestions in the comments.

Footage shot and Tracked!

We went down to Prairie Oaks Metropark on the sunniest warmest day of the week and shot some footage! It was quite risky because there was a big sign in front of the walking paths that said "no motorized vehicles"... and there were many joggers, walkers, and people with dogs. Didn't stop us from driving David's 4x4 up from the parking lot all the way down the path, in reverse.
Using Autodesk Matchmover, we tracked the footage and generated a 3D environment. The random objects on the side of the road acted as trackers, key points for the computer to look for when tracking the footage. The slowpoke model was inserted and now we have a general idea of the timing! Alan Becker

Lighting Test (First Draft)

Here is the first test render of Slowpoke integrated in a photo. Allison Cundiff has done a fantastic job on the model and texturing!

Here are some images of our model from Zbrush, and the wireframe in Maya. And below you will see the texture + normal maps!
